Full disclosure: I created this article, and I am a team member of Project Icarus. For the sake of impartiality, it would be best if someone outside the project could look over the article.

The first paper has been uploaded to arXiv, and I will add a link when it is available.

Team members also have several papers which are to be presented at the International Astronautical Congress in Prague, September 2010. --dudegalea (talk) 18:27, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The CorenSearchBot has noted a possible copyright violation, due to similarity with the Project Icarus web site. Given that we (the Icarus team) wrote the text on both the site and in this wikipedia article, we don't have a problem with that. The text is similar, but I have tried to re-write it in the wikipedia article to make it more like an encyclopedia entry than a promotional piece. Hopefully, a third party editor will be able to take an impartial look at it and knock any remaining bias off it. --dudegalea (talk) 18:31, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I briefly glanced over the article, and it doesn't appear overtly biased. I'll put it on my watchlist and look over future revisions to make sure that excessive bias (or excitement) doesn't creep in. Gopher65talk 22:08, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Full disclosure: I am one of the founders of Project Icarus and created much of the content of this page to ensure it was accurate, as many of the facts previously posted were not accurate. However, someone outside the team please check to ensure it is not overly biassed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kflong (talkcontribs) 20:16, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Project Icarus (interstellar). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

It looks like several of editors on this article have a conflict with Project Icarus (some disclosed, some not). Some usernames match people who were involved in the project. This likely needs cleanup, assuming it passes GNG (which I suspect it would, but it's borderline, if so). Symmachus Auxiliarus (talk) 14:26, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In general, I think we should encourage scientists to write about their peer-reviewed work in Wikipedia. However, I'd prefer it if the article had more science and engineering and less about the people involved. Like, I don't really care who organised the conference session and who was in the audience. -- Tim Starling (talk) 01:13, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
