gLord vs proto-Luke

[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, most of these scholars hold the view that Marcion used an early version of Luke and that gLuke was based on either this proto-Luke or Marcion's gospel, with anti-Marcionite additions. This wouldn't make Marcion the author of the first gospel (especially if we assume his gospel was nearly identical to proto-Luke) as this article seems to imply. --Huffendal (talk) 20:20, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to one account, Marcion's gospel began "In the fifteenth year of the Emperor Tiberius, God descended into Capernaum...", in which case it's obviously not the source of Luke. I tried leaving a message to the main author of this article when it was still a draft, but I'm not sure where that comment is... AnonMoos (talk) 15:08, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
