@Mathew James Hall: WP:AFD discussions generally run at least seven days. If no clear consensus has been reached at the end of seven days, the discussion may be relisted (and sometimes relisted again) until there is sufficient evidence that consensus has been reached one way or another. If no consensus is reached by the end of the second relisting (or possibly only after a single relisting if it appears that the discussion is simply not generating any input at all), the discussion will be closed with a "no consensus" result, and the article will be retained.
