The article variously states that "Construction was begun in the mid 1750s." "The cornerstone was laid on October 30, 1745" "The first service was held on August 16, 1747." How could construction begin at least 5 years after an item of construction was performed, and how could the first service be held years before construction began? Clearly, something is amiss (or at least needs a lot of explaining), but I cannot tell just what it is. Can somebody who knows what the truth is clear this up?
