@Ita140188: you added the {{context}} and {{lead rewrite}} hatnotes to the article and I would like to request more information here so that the article can be improved.
What context is missing? The lead currently roughly describes the history of nuclear weapons and the short info on why they're dangerous and that hence people have thought about ways to mitigate or solve these risks.
Why would it need to be rewritten? I thought the above would be a good introduction to the article. The only other way I can think of the lead right now would be to only inform about the risks associated with nuclear weapons and maybe some more info on what efforts / thought has been put into solving/mitigating this issue so far with the history-part getting moved to a new subsection "Introduction" or "History" or alike.
-> What issues do you see with the article and do you maybe also have some suggestions?
The lead section has to be rewritten according to the guidelines in WP:LEAD. The first paragraph should be a general introduction (description) of the topic of the article. As a general rule, after the introduction paragraph there should be a summary of all the sections of the article. I think the current lead should be better moved to a section named "background". I'll try to help too. --Ita140188 (talk) 16:09, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the recommendation to delete,. I've been thinking that for a while but hadn't thought of a rationale. I'm less clear on whether or where to redirect. It doesn't seem like the title is apt for an encyclopedia article at all. NPguy (talk) 05:01, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also agree this article as it is is more an essay than an encyclopedia article, and should be replaced with a redirect. The only reason I didn't propose it is that I cannot find a relevant article covering these topics. --Ita140188 (talk) 02:03, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
