Plot Work

[edit]

The plot section was written in an unprofessional manner. Anyone that contribuited to it could please come here for brain-storming on how to make it better. --[[User:Yossi842| Yossi842]] 22:18, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definetly agreed. Ew this is AWFUL!!! I haven't read it, or I would fix it!!!! ~mthefool

I agree. I saw this book in the library and wanted to know more about it, but this "summary" looks like a 3rd grade book report, and certainly dosen't help me decide if I want to read the book. Firstly, there is no heading to the article. Maybe something like "Pretties is a science fiction book by Scott Westerfeild. It follows the continuing story of a girl named Tally Youngblood. It is the second in the Uglies trilogy". After which should be the summary, then any other info, like references... ~bookworm9406

PSHT!!!! I think it is a great book to read and think that more people should read it!!!! Of course you do have to be smart enough to understand it ( Yossi842, mthefool, and bookworm9406 ) READ PRETTIES IT'S THE BEST!!!! - coolperson10123 -

I said nothing about the book. I only said that reading this summary does not make me want to read it. I am suggesting that this ARTICLE, not the book it discusses, needs to be improved! ~bookworm9406

I have a question.

[edit]

Why does Tally refer to Shay as 'Shay-la' and Shay to Tally 'Tally-wa'? Would anyone mind telling me what '-la' and '-wa' mean?

I can only guess so much for myself. Is it a term of respect? A term for friends? Not sure. Answers are loved! 68.223.224.98 02:50, 13 October 2007 (UTC)icybubbles —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.223.224.98 (talk) 02:48, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i believe this is an amazing trilogy. i am a great reader. but... i hate to read. it is not a hobby or interest of mine. i dont have the time. but these books... well i read them didnt i? so if you could, would or should read a book or books read this trilogy... it will have you coming back for more of scott westerfelds wonderful other series! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.214.160.72 (talk) 14:58, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for all the weird terms are in this book is because Scott Westerfield used Australian terms for the book. You can add an ie to anything, like crumbly(ie). So, basically, the reason Tally and Shay use those pet names is for the Australian terms as friendship. Rsopal (talk) 01:21, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, cool. Thanks for answering. Do you, by any chance, know where I could get more information on this? 72.153.65.144 (talk) 00:50, 26 December 2007 (UTC)icybubbles[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pretties.jpg

[edit]

Image:Pretties.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
