@LavaBaron: During the WP:DYK nomination the paragraph about "Vacancy" ("During periods of vacancy, the authority and responsibilities of the president are vested in the council of ministers in corpore") needs to be hidden or removed, please, unless you add a reference. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 10:09, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Start of Vacancy
[edit]Hello AbouAdal I agree with you that the presidency is vacant, however I was following wikipedia precedent which considered then PMs Tammam Salam and Fouad Siniora as acting Presidents. Now that you have removed them all then no problem. However I will be reverting the date as the vacancy began at October 31 since Aoun was elected October 31 2016 and finished his 6 year mandate at midnight October 30-31. If we count October 31 he would have served 6 years and 1 day which is not as stipulated in the constitution referenced below. 185.97.92.125 (talk) 17:32, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

I’ve added a heavily referenced paragraph titled “Vacancy” in the article “President of Lebanon” that settles this debate once and for all. E3f4b5 (talk) 18:30, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
