2013 IUPAC Recommendations
[edit]The current version of the recommendations for Preferred IUPAC Names (PINs) in organic chemistry is presented in Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry – IUPAC Recommendations and Preferred Names 2013 (Blue Book).[1] The current article describes the situation in 2009. – Emeldir (talk) 13:07, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
- Updated (sort of) using the link. Thanks You for the suggestion! Perhaps You yourself would have done it better, but still… --Esmu Igors (talk) 15:49, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

- @2409:4081:E98:D79A:0:0:BB89:DA12: do you have a source on that? -- Python Drink (talk) 21:44, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
How do you determine a PIN?
[edit]Based on what I have seen, the determination is often arbitrary. Here is a stack exchange post over that.
So, should we state in the article that the PIN is determined by the IUPAC and not systematically obtained? BrightSunMan (talk) 19:11, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
