Retraction of cited study

[edit]

The study now cited in footnote 2 has been retracted "[b]ecause of irregularities in the randomization procedures". Retraction and Republication: Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease with a Mediterranean Diet. N Engl J Med 2013;368:1279-90. I noted that in the footnote, but the source and accompanying text may need deletion or at least revision, given the reliance on this study in support of the random assignment of interventions.
