Precision-guided firearm#Technology lists seven technologies that can be integrated into a precision-guided firearm. Three of those technologies were:

questionable assertions
  • Streaming video via wifi server, allowing another user to see the live feed from the system
  • Shot recording and transference to other media applications
  • Interface with smartphones, tablets and software applications

Runa Sandvik#Demonstrated_how_smart_rifles_with_remote_access_can_be_remotely_hacked.

Do these assertions belong, as-is, since WiFi is inherently incompatible with the security necessary for a military weapon. Geo Swan (talk) 01:59, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This Page Reads Like Marketing Material

[edit]

This whole "Precision Guided Firearm" nonsense is a marketing term used by TrackingPoint for their telescopic fire control system. It imnplies that the bullet is somehow "guided" to the target after it leaves the muzzle. This of course, is nonsense and not supported by anything demonstrated or claimed by TrackingPoint. In my opinion this page exists to provide a link to justify the claims on TrackingPoint wiki page.John Simpson54 (talk) 19:37, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
