Shourie article
[edit]Using Arun Shourie as a source here may be problematic, although there is a link to an expose by him in the External Links section. That said, it is clear from the other cited news sources and from this around June 2007 that the documentation Shourie had was also available to them. Whether it was Shourie who passed it round is anyone's guess but clearly someone did and it was done at a time when a lot of mud-raking was going on due to the nomination of Pratibha Patil to be President of India.
We have to be aware of the implications for WP:BLP here and I'm not confident when it comes to the nuances of that policy. Obviously, we also need to find out what happened with the legal actions - I would assume that they failed but there is some confusion because the article refers to one in the lead to which 34 other people were accused parties and to one in the body involving the depositors and employees' union that may or may not be the same thing.
I'll keep digging, obviously, but will probably need some help here. Preferably from experience contributors because the politics of this sort of thing tend to attract inexperienced ones. - Sitush (talk) 07:50, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
