Notability
[edit]How is he notable? Simple b/c he was arrested or an army officer? For the former, the other's in the malegaon investigation are not there, I don't believe sadhvi thakur is on wikipedia just yet. For the latter, there are hundreds and thousands not here. Furthermore, the investigation is ongoing and there is no bio data on him. When the case comes up and a conviction his notability may well increase, but right now this is serving as WP:CRYSTAL, or something that can very well (and does) go on another page. Unsourced edits
[edit]We have to follow Wp:BLP for these articles.User:Yousaf465 (talk)
- here is the disputed section
- t is worth noticeable that the top policemen Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte and Vijay Salaskar, who were killed within 15 minutes of the terror attack, were investigating Lt. Col. Purohit for involvement in the Samjhota Express blast, Makkah Masjid, Malegaon blasts and Ahmedabad blasts. These three police officers were on the hit list of extremist and hindu terrorist parties like RSS, VHP and Barjang Dal.[citation needed]
The attack being invetigated by karkare and in which Prasad was invloved are same.User:Yousaf465 (talk)
Nothing is worth noticeable above.Karkare & his mates simply got killed because they were no match for the Islamist raiders from Pakistan.Their motivation, training, situation was not at par with their adversaries at that moment. Perhaps Karkare's pap ka ghara bhar gaya tha. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.2.238.143 (talk) 16:47, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Stub sorting
[edit]Trying to change India-bio-stub to India-mil-bio-stub (putting this under India military people stubs.) Could someone make this happen? thanks. 75.189.192.117 (talk) 11:46, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
convictions
[edit]Has Purohit beenconvictedof any terrorism charges? No? Then he does not belong in this category. Category:terrorism has no subcategories for "alleged terrorists". You are not a "terrorist" in the eyes of WP:V unless you have been convicted of being a terrorist.Pectoretalk 20:03, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Again, centralized discussion, Talk:Saffron terror. SilverserenC 20:52, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Wrong, this is a WP:BLP issue, and belongs at least with a mention on this talk page.Pectoretalk 02:59, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- BLPCAT states clearly "Caution should be used with categories that suggest a person has a poor reputation (see false light). For example, Category:Criminals and its subcategories should only be added for an incident that is relevant to the person's notability; the incident was published by reliable third-party sources; the subject was convicted; and the conviction was not overturned on appeal." Will now revert under WP:BLP, any re-reverts are obvious violations of BLP and will be reverted on sight.Pectoretalk 03:26, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
