No mention of the TALOS?

[edit]

Hey, I wondered, why no mention of the TALOS? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/TALOS_%28uniform%29 81.201.144.88 (talk) 16:18, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \barmy-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist

If you would like me to provide more information on the talk page, contact User:Cyberpower678 and ask him to program me with more info.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 22:16, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pneumatic Muscle; poor/awkward composition, no citations

[edit]

This section just seems to stick out, as though it were written by someone unfamiliar with English, and the formatting is inconsistent with the rest of the article. I suggest a rewrite, and citations for the claim of being better than a pneumatic actuator.

Introduction

[edit]

I recommend removing paragraphs four and five in the introduction, or move that information to the main text. That should make the intro a better size. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dave Seagraves (talkcontribs) 05:18, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Powered exoskeleton. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Raison d'être

[edit]

This article is starting out all wrong. What is the reason for its existence? It says in the beginning that it's for endurance and blablabla. What about bullet protection, invisibility, fall protection, underwater, space suit, situational awareness in helmet AR, etc? — Preceding unsigned comment added by B0ef (talkcontribs) 14:51, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just seems like something that’s in so many sci-fi things (Halo, Fallout, Metroid) DemonDays64 (talk) 01:36, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If it doesn't have a section like that or similar be sure to check the article history, because some overzealous people think such sections are no different from trivia and might have deleted it again[1] -- 109.76.195.210 (talk) 18:23, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit/update July 2019

[edit]

Hi, I went through the article to update and streamline it as best I could. I am not an expert so please forgive any technical errors. This is a fast-moving field with considerable commercial relevance and the original article had many unsubstantiated claims of one technology being better than another. There was also extensive, unsubstantiated discussion of design problems that seem specialized to a particular type of exoskeleton, which i have mostly removed. Any comments or improvements would be very welcome. Thank you. Logophile59 (talk) 01:36, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For reference, the section you removed on those design problems is not specific to any one design, but is common to basically all powered exoskeletons. It might have been too technical, but the risks it detailed are significant and have hampered past efforts like Hardiman for example. Khitrir (talk) 04:34, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comment, Khitrir. If you're talking about "Pinching and joint fouling" it wasn't so much that it was technical as that it was completely unreferenced, and I was unable to find any references after a fairly determined search. If you have a reference in mind that meets WP standards please feel free to reinstate the section. I was also slightly influenced by the feeling that much of the recent action (or at least the obvious recent action) seems to be in flexible exoskeletons, which I assume are less affected by this issue, so it seemed reasonable to give these problems less prominence. But again, I'm not remotely an expert so please forgive and amend my errors! By the way, if you ping me next time you leave a comment I'll be more likely to reply quickly. Removing the fictional depiction list

[edit]

Is the removal of the list of depictions not a violation of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Powered exoskeletons in fiction? Has there been a new vote or something? --Luka1184 (talk) 11:54, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Abandoned user draft for Industry section

[edit]

Please would an interested editor assess the material at User:Ilariapacifico/sandbox, incorporate what is useful, blank the remainder of that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 15:47, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
