Merger proposal

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/History_of_Città_di_Potenza_S.S. for discussion. --David Tornheim (talk) 19:03, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The problem of merging teams from the same city and they only claimed as successor is always a nightmare. Since Potenza Calcio (aka S.S.D. Potenza Calcio, A.S.D. R. Potenza F.C. and many other name before the merger/formation in 2012) is a professional club in 2018–19 Serie C, it seem more bold to split the article again as both Potenza S.C. and Potenza Calcio are passing WP:NSPORTS, functional secondary source telling they are different team, and an overlapping existence between R. Potenza, another team Città di Potenza (aka Atletico Potenza) and Potenza S.C. in 2010–11 season and may be previous season. Matthew_hk tc 01:13, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Circular-referencing

[edit]

The official storyline may had circular referencing issues http://www.calciopotenza.eu/storia which may copy from it-wiki, but if the official site adapted that version of history, then it looks no harm to reuse it to cite routine fact. Matthew_hk tc 09:43, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Missing ref for the name "A.S.D. Rossoblù Potenza F.C."

[edit]

I can't find the exact name change announcement by FIGC, nor any good secondary source. But the name did appeared in primary source by the city government of Potenza . http://www.comune.potenza.it/images/multimediali_new/ordinanze/2014/ords.285-2014.pdf Matthew_hk tc 09:50, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
