The tone of this article is highly subjective. It clearly has been written by someone with an axe to grind. The story of the decline of the DMS from a highly rigorous and challenging programme of study to a substandard, near-worthless award may well be accurate, but would be bolstered by citations of studies, articles, etc., supporting this view. -- Jim Gawn, DMS 1981, Polytechnic of Central London Jimgawn (talk) 18:59, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The bias of the article is revealed in the reference to "the activities of the UK government at that time to generally lower standards in UK education for political reasons". Pqr456 (talk) 11:22, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
