Mr. Jones,

I realize you are most likely a busy man. I was writing to inquire whether or not it was okay to use low resolutions from pictures on your website to include in the on line Encyclopedia Wikipedia.org. A page already exists at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Poseidon_resorts and a photo image has already been included on the page. The article does not exist for advertisement, however for it's uniqueness and encyclopedic value. I will anticipate a reply from you on this matter.
Regards,
Michael http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Stubbleboy

Michael,

The article is not entirely accurate. However, feel free to use the images form the Web site. A new site will be up at the same URL next week.

Fair use rationale for Image:Poseidonresort.jpg

[edit]

Image:Poseidonresort.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vaporware

[edit]

This project seems never to have happened. There are many news stories up to 2008, then silence. The project's web site is up and running as if the the place existed, and there are travel sites which quote the site. There's one CNN article from 2011 that says it will open in "late 2012" [2] but that's just a list of places, not reported news. --John Nagle (talk) 17:15, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Set article to past tense, deleted some of the hype. They have a really pretty web site, which looks like it's real. But the "Booking" page says only "Thank you for your interest in Poseidon Resorts. We welcome you to contact us after September 15, 2009." --John Nagle (talk) 19:10, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The promoters are still trying to get funding. New renderings are available.[3]. It's still vaporware, though. --John Nagle (talk) 06:07, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
An anon changed the article to indicate the project is still going on. But there were no sources in that edit, and searching isn't showing any new info in recent months. It still seems to be vaporware. Undid change. --John Nagle (talk) 17:30, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Still seems to be vaporware. The web site lives on, though, as if it really existed. And you can still order the T-shirt.[4]. John Nagle (talk) 04:37, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
