Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Some suggestions, emerging from the brief AfD discussion and review of the article:
Some referencing of the significance of the 1983 "After Modernism" exhibition.
Bringing in discussion of influential artists.
The book "Culture and Customs of Portugal (Culture and Customs of Europe)" (ISBN9780313334405) mentions Pedro Cabrita Reis on p139 and this can also link to his Wikipedia page and the reference to his Venice Bienalle work.
Possibly also Joano Vasconcelos (articles on other Wikipedias, but not English): [1].
These and any others need to be filtered and organised by someone knowledgeable about art in Portugal, hence the placement here rather than in the article. AllyD (talk) 21:23, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Contemporary art galleries in Portugal, like any other galleries, are not inherently notable. They must satisfy the criteria at WP:ORG. Please do not add galleries to this article unless you can provide reliable independent sources that confirm notability. Per WP:Source list, "The verifiability policy states that if material is challenged or likely to be challenged, it is the responsibility of the editor who adds or restores the material to an article to cite sources for that material. Inclusion of material on a list should be based on what reliable sources say." WWGB (talk) 13:50, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
