Deepest Lake?

[edit]

So are we not counting Lake Superior for some reason? The article states that Portsmouth Mine Pit Lake is the deepest lake in the state but it is only 450 feet deep. Lake superior has an average depth of 483 ft which is deeper than this lake. Granted, the deepest spot in Superior (1,332 feet) is off the coast of Michigan but all long the north shore of Minnesota the lake is approximately 700 feet deep. I've edited the article accordingly.
