Anachronism?
[edit]This article says that antiques dealers arrived in the market in the 1960s. The "Portobello Road" song in Bedknobs and Broomsticks, which takes place during World War II, has plenty of references to (pseudo-)antiques: "street where the riches of ages are sold" ("stowed"? I don't remember; it's been years); "a pen used by Shelley, a new Boticelli"; &c. If the antiques dealers' arrival in the '60s is confirmed, we should point out that anachronism in the movie. The Road's Incline
[edit]This article has very little about the market itself, instead listing trivia about the geography of the road. The road has its own article, so I am moving some of this stuff which is totally unrelated the market. Chrisfow 02:27, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
