Untitled
[edit]What want of prudence and self-control was it? This seems rather too important just to omit, is there some reason why this should be getting whitewashed?
Expansion
[edit]I have expanded this article, keeping strictly to the published opinions of Ludwig Pastor, the most sympathetic of papal histirians. I don't suppose the picture that emerges will please the ultra-Catholics. Perhaps some further historians should be brought into the picture, the better to balance it, rather than taking a red pencil to delete what is disapproved and applying a POV bumpersticker, as is usual practice. --Wetman 09:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
