That the "Anastasius" cited in the Britannica article is Bibliothecarius is only a googled guess of mine, though a pretty confident one. If you know of a different Anastasius it's more likely to have been, swap him right in. --Dell Adams 03:48, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Impossible

[edit]

In article (infobox) writes:

Saint Eugene I, term_end=2 June 657, death_date=(657-06-01)1 June 657|feast_day=2 June. Pope Saint Eugene I or Eugenius I, was pope from 10 August 654 to 1 June 657.

If he died on 1 June, he was not Pope to 2 June. His feastday maybe is on a day of his funerale. --Stebunik (talk) 19:42, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

J. N. D. Kelly "Oxford Dictionary of Popes", Catholic Encyclopedia and Salvador Miranda give the end of His papacy and the day of His death as 2 June. Kalev Kask 19:57, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"roasting"

[edit]

"they threatened to roast Eugene, just as they had roasted Pope Martin I" There is nothing in the article on Pope Martin about being "roasted", and no source given here. Should be supported or removed. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 10:27, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
