RESURECTION OF THE POST PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM

In some ways the Pontiac brand has been resurrected with GM licensing their brand and model name Firebird Trans Am to the company known as Trans Am Depot to rebuild a brand new Chevrolet Camaro to a custom Pontiac Trans Am.

Quoted directly from the entry Pontiac Firebird:

"In 2012, General Motors signed a licensing deal with Trans Am Depot to use the Trans Am name and Pontiac logos in custom versions of new Trans Ams.[27] Under this agreement, Trans Am Depot takes brand new model Chevrolet Camaros, strips them down to their basic components and rebuilds what looks like new Trans Ams.[28] They make these in the designs of the 6T9 version Trans Am, 6T9 Goat ("GTO"),[29][30] 7T7 Trans Am and the limited edition Hurst Trans Am.[31][32]"

Sorry --- Every article and video about this car is just a scam seemingly reporting that these are made by Pontiac. No, they are simply custom made conversions of new Camaros. Once they left the final assembly by General Motors and were sold and delivered as Chevrolets, they remain VINed as such. Anyone with enough money can modify, customize, or even "resurrect" any car. This does not mean there is a resurrection of the Firebird - nor the Pontiac nameplate - by the manufacturer, General Motors. CZmarlin (talk) 19:17, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

They are just made up cars. Prodigy55 (talk) 16:35, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Pontiac. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
