Future updates
[edit]- Don't forget that, with the new laws recently passed by the Parliament, all unelected senate seats will be abolished on 11 March 2006. That section'll need a tweaking in nine months. -Wareq ---- 00:50 EDT 16-7-2005
Translation of Juntos podemos más
[edit]I just edited the old "other parties" section to remove the Christian left, that's apparently inactive since 1999 and changed the name of the section to "Together We Can Do More (Juntos Podemos Más)". If someone has a better transaltion for the name, please change it.
Important notice
[edit]The government section of the "Outline of Chile" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.
When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.
Please check that this country's outline is not in error.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact The Transhumanist .
Thank you.
Added "outdated" template
[edit]The section dealing with the Legislative branch is detailing a Congress that existed somewhere between 2006 and 20010, even though the latest edition was in 2011. Most articles dealing with the Chilean Congress are similarly outdated - I guess it's not a very exciting subject. I'll see if I can find time to fix them, although I'm just a beginner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EstaFortaleza (talk • contribs) 18:34, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

"Pressure groups" + Citizen advocacy
[edit]I plan to expand on the section "Pressure groups" by adding a subsection about citizen advocacy for public policy change. I will briefly explain the history of how citizens have advocated for change/affected policy in Chile, how this process continues today, and what actions advocacy groups are currently taking.
