Hoax
[edit]There is no such neighborhood in Kansas. I did a thorough search through all the references listed above and found no mention of it anywhere. I theorize it is a 'complaint' and racist about immigrants-but this is just conjecture. Please remove asap so WP doesn't get accused of harboring racists and not correcting such things. [edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because... (your reason here) --Willbaska (talk) 03:31, 13 March 2019 (UTC) This is a real neighborhood with lots of history that is being forgotten throughout the city. There is Strawberry Hill (Kansas City, Kansas that gets most of the respect in the Kansas City, Kansas area but Polish Hill was just as influential in the area and I felt like I had to put the neighborhood into wikipedia.
Please,
Will
- Even though you can be 'right', there is absolutely no documentation that supports the existence of this neighborhood. I looked for this term in all the search engines listed above. Best Regards, Barbara ✐✉ 03:47, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

You may think this neighborhood doesn't exsist, but it does, it has been forgotten and absorbed into a greater Kansas City, Kansas neighborhood, This is not racist I am stating great history that many people have forgotten, In our area when people think Slavic immigrants they think Strawberry Hill but there was many Poles here. If you think I'm being racist to hispanics, I don't see how, I never said "They took over" I just said they have migrated to the area and the Poles have migrated out of. There is no racism stating the demographics of a neighborhood.
Again,
Will

[edit]Polish Hill, Kansas City, KS appears to be a real place according to: Kansas City Historical Society, local news KSHB, local news Wyandotte Daily. Leviv ich 04:00, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Not a suitable ref but this blog supports the idea that one of the churches was founded by Poles. Has photos. [1] Legacypac (talk) 05:02, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- Excellent! I really do hate deleting articles and this is a good time to be wrong. Thanks LP & levivich. Best Regards, Barbara ✐✉ 18:26, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Cinco de Mayo with kielbasa and sauerkraut
[edit]Grayfell, about this edit with the edit summary "Misrepresentation of source, likely WP:OR", the source for the sentence, "Today, the community is mainly Hispanic, but continues the Polski Day tradition, resulting in Cinco de Mayo celebrations featuring kielbasa and sauerkraut." is this reference (#6), which says: The neighborhood around All Saints Church has become mostly Hispanic in recent years. And yet on Cinco de Mayo the church social hall was filled with kielbasa and sauerkraut for the 28th annual Polski Day celebration.
I don't understand the reason for removing it? Leviv ich 23:43, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- My mistake, I was reading the wrong source. I think the current wording has some neutrality problems, but the content is correct. I apologize. Grayfell (talk) 23:51, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks! Don't let me stop you from changing the wording, it surely can be improved. Leviv ich 00:45, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
