Police resentment at the PCB
[edit]"The power of the board to reverse a decision not to prosecute an officer caused resentment within the police community since it exposed policemen who had been exonerated by the DPP to double jeopardy."
I've removed this unsourced assertion, which has somehow survived for 10 years, because while it may well be true that the PCB's existence caused the resentment, it did expose them to "double jeopardy", since a decision not to prosecute by the DPP is not the result of a trial, and cannot exonerate anybody. A properly sourced account of police resentment at the process might include that they felt this was "double jeopardy", but that would be quite different to claim above. - Wnjr (talk) 11:27, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
