How Many Patron Saints Do These People Get?
[edit]According to some sources, including an info box on his Wikipedia page, Willibrord is the patron saint of the Netherlands. The article on Saint Nicholas (like other sources) plainly states that he is the patron saint of the Netherlands. Perhaps we should begin by asking who is not the patron saint of the Netherlands! —SlamDiego 03:04, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Many nations have more than one patron, primary and secondary. Unfortunately, the infobox doesn't ease making the distinction between the two. John Carter 14:10, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Birthplace
[edit]I noticed the article had Leinster, Ireland listed as place of birth despite the article text stating otherwise. None of the sources mention Leinster specifically but "Lives of the Irish saints" by John O'Hanlon (and other sources) suggest three potential birthplaces:
- Ireland
- Scotland
- Northumbria, England D1551D3N7 (talk) 21:18, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
