The result of the move request was: page moved. Regarding Plattsburgh (town), New York – this is the naming convention in New York State articles: Catskill (town), New York, Cheektowaga (town), New York, Lewiston (town), New York, Binghamton (town), New York, etc. etc. – wbm1058 (talk) 02:57, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
Plattsburgh (city), New York → Plattsburgh, New York – Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC; see https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Watertown_(city),_New_York#Requested_move_8_February_2022 Mvcg66b3r (talk) 23:39, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose Plattsburgh, New York (town). The word "town" shouldn't modify the word "New York". Showiecz (talk) 00:10, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support and move Plattsburgh (town), New York to Plattsburgh, New York (town). Parenthetical disambiguators go at the end and they apply to the entire article title. Rreagan007 (talk) 01:12, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support and what Rreagan007 said. Not sure where Showiecz is coming from on this. Dicklyon (talk) 02:06, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- If you follow Rreagan007's suggestion then it's going to read as "Plattsburgh in the town of New York" even though what is meant is the "town of Plattsburgh, New York". Showiecz (talk) 04:10, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Within how WP disambiguators are normally used, I don't think it would be read that way. Maybe someone completely unfamiliar would read it that way at first, but they'd get over it. Dicklyon (talk) 06:08, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support It has uncontroversially redirected to here for years. JDDJS (talk to me • see what I've done) 21:36, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
