Plastic Cup Use
[edit]Although plastic cups are sometimes cheaper, they are not the best for drinks. Paper cups' material has hardly any insulation so therefore the drink does not stay hot for long. Plastic cups are preferred for cold beverages and frozen drinks. It does not keep hot chocolate, hot water, coffee, etcetera hot for a long increment of time.
Plastic does not have any coating because it is able to resist water naturally. But if exposed to high heat, plastic, especially plastic cups, will melt. It also condensates on the outside, which can make cups slippery or just extremely moist. But because it is so water proof, it is perfect for holding drinks and preventing leaks.

- Actually, this quote is entirely, 100% accurate. It's just original research until sourced. --King ♣ Talk 18:34, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Title
[edit]The article is about disposable plastic cups. There are many plastic cups which are are designed for multiple uses and cleanings. We should either include these other types of use or change the title to "Plastic cup (disposable)". Pkgx (talk) 03:06, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- Why not just merge into disposable cup then, or alternately expand the purview of the article? Arlo James Barnes 04:07, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

It's not, by definition, a distinguishing feature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.91.51.235 (talk) 17:23, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
