This article is written in British English with Oxford spelling (colour, realize, organization, analyse; note that -ize is used instead of -ise) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus. |
Supercritical fluids
[edit]This article needs to be reviewed and edited with attention to supercritical fluids. For instance, the remark that there are three other states of matter with clear transitions between them is not entirely correct. 1.145.48.244 (talk) 04:35, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- I updated the phrasing to "is relatively not well defined". VQuakr (talk) 04:46, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
Opinionated judgemental language
[edit]In the section of the article about filaments the following appears: “One interesting aspect”. To say it’s an “interesting aspect is seemingly entirely a personal judgement and not encyclopedic or necessary or appropriate.
If somebody who can edit the article would edit the article regarding that that would be something. 2600:1700:BA0:FC40:B487:B454:9EDB:6FB8 (talk) 03:27, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- There are also other issues in the language used here. For now I have added Template:Tone to the top of the section. CoronalMassAffection (talk) 23:19, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

"It is the most abundant form of ordinary matter in the universe, mostly in stars (including the Sun), but also dominating the rarefied intracluster medium and intergalactic medium."
Does this statement count for black holes please? The "ordinary matter" page does not specifically state: black holes not included! Please maybe make a note somewhere around this sentence about black holes. Thank You! Ezixen (talk) 01:36, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Are you talking about matter that has "fallen into" black holes? Remsense留 01:38, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Nobody knows what is inside black holes. As such, I would be hesitant to call that matter "ordinary". In any case, by modern estimates the total mass of black holes is like 1% or so of the total barionic mass of the Universe (e.g., see https://www.space.com/how-many-black-holes-universe). What made you think otherwise? Evgeny (talk) 10:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Lewcm Talk to me! 13:26, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
