Planet Satellite

[edit]

It is hard to believe, that this is not a Bugatti 100P, but the french original - designed in 1936 and tried to realize (never finished) in 1938 - was a single seated race airplane with counter-spinning propellers in front, pulling the plane. By that, the Bugatti had a different layout of the landing gear with a tailwheel. But many elements of the general layout of the Planet Satellite stem from the Bugatti 100P. Even the monocoque construction of the fuselage can be found at the Bugatti. After all, the constructor of the Planet Satellite must have known the 100P in some detail and therefor could spare many preparatory construction drawings.
