Botanical garden?

[edit]

What's the name of the botanical garden located at the top of Place Jacques-Cartier? We should include that in the article. And just below the garden is a venue used for changing exhibitions during the high season.

British Imperialism

[edit]

Surely the objections of Quebec nationalists and sovereigntists to the Nelson column was not british imperialism but the dominance of the commercial and political life of the province by the english speaking minority. The resident english speakers of Montrteal and Quebec had little to do with British imperialism (sic)

I think the term is a cheap throw away that could be replaced with a more accurate term, or better left out as a tangental political opinion does not add to the purpose of the article.

The role of French British wars in Europe and their impact on their colonies is a highly arguable point, and is more complex than brtish imperialsm. For example is New France , french imperialsm ?
