New article review
[edit]I'm going to cover a few ways you could improve the article.
The group's interviews seem to make it clear this group is notable, but the article could emphasize this more. One way would be to provide quotations from the Vice and Chicagoist article. Just describe and/or quote from the articles and then place the reference tag there. Quotations are the best way to talk about musical style, because it's fine to state that an artist or a reviewer says the music is "soulful," but the article can't state an opinion without a source.
There are a lot of names. Generally, only people directly associated with the group should be listed. "Others now associated with the group" doesn't really justify listing those people, because it doesn't say what they did. If they collaborated on a successful release, for example, you could say that two people worked together on that release.
People very often include lists of similar artists or artists that have performed alongside them. That's common in music industry promotions, but isn't allowed here. You don't seem to have done any of this, but I thought I'd mention it.
The last thing is the issue of the artists' names. With hip-hop artists it is acceptable to use only their stage/street names. You can include real/government/birth names if you want to, but it's not necessary. If you do include them, they should always be "Grandmaster Flash (born Joseph Saddler in 1958)" -- performance name first. Date of birth and "born", "aka", and so on are optional.) You have correctly stated the stage names first, but maybe you didn't know that that's only name we need, so if you'd rather not include birth names you may remove them.
Information on copies distributed (up to a certain date) would be helpful. Their music is either free because nobody would pay for it, or it's free because the artists chose to make it free (the same way Wikipedia is free). So copies distributed would make it clear.
