First paragraph

An anonymous user has added "EIC Act 1784" after the name of the Act. Since this abbreviation is not used anywhere else in the article, and since it appears to be little used on the internet more generally, I question the need to include it at all. Rgrayuk (talk) 15:43, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
