Obfuscation
[edit]I took out a recent addition that I felt detracted from the clarity of the article. The wording and ideas presented were too confusing for the general audience to figure, and there were writing errors that prevented me from getting wind of the meaning. This sentence in particular left the reader gasping for comprehension: "Thus, a virtual pitch is more salient if spectral pitches at lower, successive harmonic pitches above it, including the fundamental itself (which may or may not be present)." Another sentence used the word "obviously" in parentheses. Egad! Whatever it is that we feel we need to say should be written so clearly that it becomes obvious to all, without saying so. Merger proposal
[edit]The first page of Pitch (music) looks very similar to this page. Can they/should they be merged? Perhaps into Pitch (sound), which redirects to Pitch (music). Facts707 (talk) 17:05, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
