Birthplace discrepancy
[edit]The Museo Omero reference states that Manzù was born in Milan (not Bergamo). Which is correct? (Also, the lead as written isn't strictly per MOS:BIRTHPLACE on this detail.) Cheers, Cl3phact0 (talk) 06:13, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- This has been addressed and corrected with reference. Erremm (talk) 13:11, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

Alias projects
[edit]All three of the "Manzù" objects manufactured by Alias were posthumously edited (and the "pouf" foot rest was designed by the company itself 'in the style of' Pio Manzù). We might want to make this clear in our text. -- Cl3phact0 (talk) 08:51, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
Date of death discrepancy
[edit]Wikidata shows three different dates for Manzù's death. The official Commune di Bergamo website has 27 May 1969, while we (and Italian Wikipedia) have 26 May 1969. Which is correct (or most likely to be accurate)? -- Cl3phact0 (talk) 11:55, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- It was on Monday 26 May, as can be read in various newspapers (La Stampa, L'Unità, etc.) as well as in the books by Fagone and Dante Giacosa. It also follows from the story of his death: he went back to Turin on the first day after the weekend for the Fiat 127 presentation, obviously a Monday. And 26 May 1969 was on a Monday. The date on the Commune di Bergamo website is the original publication date, not the date of the death. That the article was published on 27 May 1969, is merely because in those days news didn't travel as fast as in the 21st century. Erremm (talk) 10:02, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
