What is the purpose of the in-article changelog?

It is a list of most important changes between software versions. It is not a complete changelog. Firefox article has such, too.

Some software articles contain similar list of changes in paragraph form, but I don't think it works well for Pinta. Pinta is released quite often, and there are less changes between versions.
