The Pinckneyville Power Plant
[edit]The reason I made a note of the fact in this article- and in the others like it relating to installations owned by major power companies like Exelon and Ameren-- that there is a combustion turbine generator (CTG) power plant owned by Ameren Illinois Corporation in Pinckneyville was because it is likely to be a landmark in the area, an area employer, and a source of power for the area- which together could make it of import and interest to the area and to readers of the article. I was obliged to note the corporation who owned it, Ameren, and to provide their link- the fact sheet. This was not an attempt at advertising. The statement of these facts- the name and location of the plant, the type of installation, and the power output it provides- is readily accessible information that does not vary anywhere it is mentioned, and so even if it is not widely known common knowledge, it would be a stretch to be interpreted as plagiarism of the article from Ameren, listing the plants and their locations, that I provided as a link. The link is not meant as spam but as a link to a perfectly valid primary source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.223.133.1 (talk) 01:27, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

I also go to school here, and I understand the confusion, but I think the racial stats likely include the prison population.
