County says it is 220 acres, but I've only been able to track the purchase of 161, leaving 59 acres unaccounted for, which could be attributable to multiple scenarios. This is bothering me, but I'm working on it. Viriditas (talk) 23:35, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a follow-up: I have no way of linking or associating the 11 parcels to their approximate size, but I did play around with the area tool on Google Earth to see how the 220 acres fits given the general size of the park, and it was almost an exact match. I thought I had mentioned this in a previous version of the article, but I don't see it in the current version. It pertains specifically to the Seal Cove neighborhood of Moss Beach just outside the bluff trails, but since it impacts the route walkers take to the reserve and back to the bluffs, it should be added back into the trail section. My understanding is that walkers are still using it regardless of the closure, but this could be somewhat dangerous due to the debris. The more interesting aspects of the landslide involve the Purisima Formation, so more could be said about this in the geology section as well. Viriditas (talk) 20:56, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
