Office holders 2006

[edit]

Do we have a source for the current listed office holders? - Crosbiesmith 19:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Founding date

[edit]

I moved this comment from the article:

The founding date as listed is in question. In a letter dated October 25th, 1855, Oliver Wendell Holmes writes ". . .address before Pilgrims' Society in N.Y., Dec.22nd. . ." [Morse, Mary Blake, Letters of Oliver Wendell Holmes to a Classmate, The Century, Volume 54, Issue 6, October, 1897 p. 947

It's probably a different society. - Crosbiesmith 17:54, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, The founding date in the current article is off. Way off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.118.209.242 (talk) 20:56, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Reference Request" for each member noted

[edit]

Marisol Deluna is listed as a member yet is repeatedly removed. She is clearly noted on the inner cover of this book- *The Pilgrims of Great Britain: A Centennial History (2002)- Anne Pimlott Baker, ISBN 1-86197-290-3 as a member, written by Henry Luce III. Dear Editors, I see that the "Reference Information" on this page is not complete. Can someone please assist me with adding the proper information for the book noted? Thank you! ElizabethCB123 (talk) 19:13, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not for WP:PROMOTION. The idea that a barely notable (if that!) fashion designer should make a short list with Kissinger and Cronkite is just silly. There's no possible way you'll get consensus support for your edit. Of course it will be reverted. Msnicki (talk) 00:30, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
