Google can not find a singe picture of this alleged super model - even using different transcriptions. I think this is just fake and is just a spin in order to lure more prey into his trap.

Improve Quality

[edit]

The article seems to me like a glorifying PR-piece. But as I’m against article deletion I toned the whole glorifying a bit down and asked for citations for some of the claims that are made in the article- but it is still not yet of the encyclopaedic quality level required. noclador 09:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The quality of this article is probably rather sad. I just went through the history - nearly (only nearly?) all of the content of the article comes from IPs (which is admittedly not necessarily a disaster) and all of them are without source (which is). You could just as well remove all of it with a request for a source :( Probably it's not as bad as other French artist stubs - at least there is some content and it doesnt look totally unlikelyIridos 04:37, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

condoms

[edit]

¤A point of accuracy with the casting section, he does use condoms albeit rarely. Obviously a link to a porn video isn't appropriate, and I have no idea where to find a source to cite. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.189.37.229 (talk) 15:15, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I seemed to have moved two other pieces. I can't figure out where they go or how to move them. Sorry again, that wasn't intentional. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.189.37.229 (talk) 15:36, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder what the author meant by this: "Pierre Woodman makes regular press and television appearances all over the world in which his straightforward and sincere way of talking often amazes people"? What an odd thing to say about somebody. RichardBachUK 22:33, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It probably implies that Woodman's more honest and straightforward than most entrepeneurs in the pornography industry. Kinda POV. 209.180.40.12 (talk) 00:02, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh funny, did the guy write this himself? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.220.217 (talk) 01:40, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

"At the beginning there was no commercial motivation behind them, but after the conviction of Mike Tyson for rape, he always asked for witnesses to be there when the castings took place."

Not that it really matters, but is there any connection between the two parts of this sentence? Wanderer57 18:24, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it doesn't really matter but I think that - if his "castings" are for real - after Tyson's conviction, which was based mainly on the accusations of the so-called victim, Woodman thought "hey those chiks could do the same to me if I don't hire them as promised after having sex with them", so he started to have female witnesses during the hotel sex "castings". That's what I think anyway but it's probably just another Woodman's con, much like the one about his stage name and so on...--201.28.39.223 (talk) 14:33, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

fakes

[edit]

most of his so called castings are actually just pre arranged sex scenes with somewhat experienced actresses, not real castings with regular street girls. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.153.141.107 (talk) 19:50, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

source? 87.166.56.59 (talk) 01:48, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes,this is fake, cause all the girls have the same behaviour during the sex scenes. They act all the same, screaming and so on.It looks for me very professional. This is not the first time they have sex behind the camera. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.170.226.224 (talk) 23:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

guys. that's not the point. It's not about being that girl's first time. The point is, there's a guy(Woodman) who's getting free sex with gorgeous babes while promising them a "casting video". Which is sadly how it's done in the porn industry. The point is he goes :" ok so you've got to fuck me so i can test you and know if you're good enough for my porn film" . The point is, he gets to have private, free sex with gorgeous, just turned 18 girls.

Of course, the girls are trying to look professional, since this is a "casting". The videos is supposed to sell their performances.

Let me put it this way: how would you like it if you were able to have sex for free(aka make a whore out of) the prettiest girl in college? That's what Woodman does.

Lucky bastard.

  • well luck doesn't have to do with it though...

All the girls are paid performers, and if you think otherwise... well, I have a nice bridge in NY I'd love to sell to you. Every allegation made against Woodman through the years consistently are about him coercing the actressess to do more than they were paid for (which IS a pretty crappy thing to do, obviously), but they all knew they were going to be in a porn shoot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.167.250.224 (talk) 19:22, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Very biased

[edit]

The article contains language that tries too hard to make porn industry mainstream with the world media. "the world of traditional cinema" and "in the fashion world"?. Please, this sound like the article has been written by the guy himself or an avid fan, who wants to promote him as some multigenius hybrid of Spielberg and Tom Ford. Furthermore, there are no concrete evidence for his global fame. Bottomline, it really needs some revision.

Rape allgegations

[edit]

Since a few days, the article accused Pierre on having raped a latvian girl and gave along a link to an article in Russian. The link is here : http://www.kriminal.lv/news/provincialynaya-devushka-chuty-ne-stala-pornoatrisoi

I ran a google translate on that link and the story is only the story of some girl which did not understood that the casting which was being filmed and in which she voluntarily undressed would be broadcasted on the internet. It's a local scandal, but not a rape. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.229.179.123 (talk) 15:04, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Woodman himself claims the story was made up and that Bajba doesn't exist: http://www.woodmanforum.com/with-pierre/what-are-the-news-t4915.html Since it is defamatory, I think the story should either be removed from his article or have multiple sources listed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.183.54.113 (talk) 15:11, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed there is no other reference to such an event. It appears to be a defamation case slightly concealed as the surname of the director does not appear in the article. Nevertheless, only from “Pierre” it could be deduced to whom it refers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.217.149.223 (talk) 08:53, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed it, it is a disgrace it was in the article so long. Egg Centric 17:22, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal: remove the box at the top of the article

[edit]

This is a proposal to remove that ancient eyesore box at the top of the article. That ugly box is pointless - and has been so for quite some time. It has been here for 10 years now, with three additions, the last of which is 5 years old. I conclude from that fact that the issues have mostly been adressed. Owing to the fact that this is porn topic, the article references mostly porn industry sources. There is not much we can change about that - the New York Times does not chronicle the life and activities of the porn industry and its protagonists, so quoting porn industry awards shows, AVN and fan blogs is where the information is. The rest of the issues seems to have been addressed. I thus propose to remove the box. Tullius2 (talk) 18:30, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

an no one objects, I'll go ahead then Tullius2 (talk) 20:29, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I guess no one objected, but I give my wholehearted approval here| Theheezy (talk) 09:50, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Why is his real name, Pierre André GERBIER, not mentioned? It is used in business filings after all (Exhibit 10.12 at https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1068084/0000944209-99-000558.txt , also https://uspto.report/company/Pierre-Andr-Gerbier and https://trademarks.justia.com/857/34/woodman-85734704.html). 2A02:908:162:9E20:0:0:0:BFB4 (talk) 08:17, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[1] So ask User Zanimum. --Rosenzweig (talk) 09:19, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the IP. The justification given by Zanimum is voided by the IP's point. Name also publically available here in the UK via here at Companies House. What's the harm in adding it based on pristine public sources? BowlAndSpoon (talk) 14:48, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
