REMOVING SPURIOUS MATERIAL

At the end of the section on matematics there are currently three sentences which read:

"Some historians question the sexuality of Piero della Francesca. In fact his dyptic of the Duke and Duchess of Urbino shows that the duke may have been his secret lover. The duchess was actually how Francesco viewed himself as a person."

I notice that this addition was made by 66.41.162.44 on 24 September 2006. The person who was also responsible for adding spurious material to "Minesota Timberwolves" on 29 September 2006 and to "Robbinsdale Armstrong High School" on 22 October 2006. In each case that material has been removed.

I believe that the addition to "Piero della Francesca" is more of the same.

Consequently I am deleating this. --Johndvincent 09:31, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

• There are areas in the article such as "The classicism of Masaccio's frescoes and his majestic figures in the Santa Maria del Carmine were for him an important source of inspiration. Dating of Piero's undocumented work is difficult because his style does not seem to have developed over the years." where the information seems to be subjective yet is not cited • the writing style/grammar could be improved. ex: "He was most probably apprenticed to the local painter Antonio di Giovanni d'Anghiari, because in documents about payments it is noted that he was working with Antonio in 1432 and May 1438." there are plenty of ambiguous pronouns throughout the article. • the references are credible, but there are only 9 footnotes in a relatively lengthy article where there should be plenty more — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hannahhwolfe (talkcontribs) 19:32, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
