Seicercus should be merged

[edit]

On a molecular phylogeny of the family phylloscopidae on this year say that the family should only contain one genus, which is phylloscopus. seicercus species should be merged with phylloscopus with seicercus affinis should be phylloscopus intermedius. the diverge between the twospecies occurred during 6.0-0.5 million years ago....................... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samweithe4 (talkcontribs) 07:10, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The ongoing research by Alstrom may indeed result in a reclassification of many species within the family Phylloscopidae. However, before merging any articles, we should wait until these changes are recognized by the IOC or other authorities. Loopy30 (talk) 12:05, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can we do it before the IOC version 8.2 published?
