I think the bystander effect in research is real. The article Tetraphosphrous hexanitride never got created. We can't tell that it's a red link because it's highlighted. Also, I once got to the page [[Well Kept Secrets" from clicking the Random article link then nominated it for deletion then it got redirected to Lisa Moscatiello#Discography. Maybe we could have a discussion here then work together to organize a plan of a question to ask at the reference desk to see if there are other ways in which the bystander effect in research on how Wikipedia should work is going on. Then maybe those people could post in the Idea lab the idea of gathering to improve efficiency by combining many problems of the bystander effect into a single research project. Also, the bell icon isn't functioning properly on my Toshiba Satellite laptop in Google Chrome. When I click it, it keeps saying there are 4 new messages instead of 0. That's another problem with the bystander effect in research on what's going on in Wikipedia and my be worth combining with the other problems as well. I guess I might check it for the next few days. After enough time, this whole thing is probably going to be totally off my mind and I might miss seeing any new messages about this issue unless the bell icon gets fixed enabling me to get notified about the response when it happens. I'm not sure if it's so faulty that I wouldn't see notifications of new messages. Blackbombchu (talk) 00:38, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
