Response

[edit]

Why does this page have several paragraphs on MM’s response to the allegations, and two short sentences on the series itself? This kind of imbalance does not reflect NPOV. 71.218.48.17 (talk) 04:28, March 18, 2022‎

Hi IP. If you want to expand information on the series itself, please feel free to do so. However, this is not justification for removing entire sections of sourced text. The response from the accused and them questioning the authenticity of the evidence the series presents (the alleged FBI letter) is arguably the most notable thing about this series so far. Please add reliably souced content elsewhere to the article if you so desire. Thank you. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 14:17, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is the series do not present an alleged FBI letter, there is no such a scene? I believe that sentence is written by someone who actually did not watch the series Kazkaan (talk) 23:45, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

At some point, during some disruptive editing a couple of weeks ago, an external link was added, to a website that has no place being on this Wiki article. It is not a website with any legitimate ties to the documentary, the filmmakers, or anyone with an actual connection to this film. The inclusion of this site represents a major POV violation - the page is clearly written by a defender of Ms. Wood's alleged abuser, or was written at the direction of that person.

The link should not be restored without an editorial consensus on this talk page. CleverTitania (talk) 15:13, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance of Wood's relationship status?

[edit]

I intend to remove the following sentence fragment, but first wanted to give an opportunity for discussion of what the encyclopedic value it adds to the article - since it was given 3 separate sources, as if it were a vitally important piece of controversial information.

"...she is alleged to be romantically involved with Wood."

Even if the line is intended to demonstrate a possible conflict of interest, their friendship and Gore's active presence in the documentary already establishes where her loyalties lie. An exact definition of the relationship between Gore and Wood is, to my view, entirely irrelevant to this article.

I agree. I have gone ahead and removed their relationship status, which was added by another user, as I also don't think it's in any way relevant to this article. But I'd like to note that in the comments section of one of her latest Instagram posts, Ashley Gore has asked for an "experienced wiki editor" to edit this article in her favour. I'm tempted to request immediate edit protection, but would actually like to see what happens in the coming days. Should be interesting... Information was readded with links to articles that don't support the claims made. Edit protection seems appropriate. 198.2.100.109 (talk) 03:52, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Response to allegations -- undue weight

[edit]

This section seems to be WP:UNDUE, especially all the details it goes into about the allegations of the "FBI letter" and the "checklists" which have been dismissed by a judge for lacking evidence. Bennv123 (talk) 01:05, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
