I wouldn't expect a course entitled "The Phoenicians - Cunning Seafarers" to honestly address "the Phoenicians, Punic peoples, and Carthaginians on their own terms and in their own contexts within the ancient Mediterranean sphere." Tone deaf, and not a good sign.
Imagine a course entitled "The Hebrews – Cunning Merchants". Carlstak (talk) Carlstak (talk) 03:55, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Phoenicia or Phoenicians?

[edit]

The parent article has been moved from Phoenicia to Phoenician people; the reasoning for the move is given at Talk:Phoenician people#"Phoenicia" or "Phoenicians".

I propose, for consistency's sake, to move this page from "History of Phoenicia" to "Phoenician history". Even if the parent page redirect is reverted at some future date, "Phoenician history" can cover either.

I think that sounds reasonable. Andre🚐 00:32, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I concur. Carlstak (talk) 00:49, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
