Proposed split
[edit]The two species in this genus should have separate additional articles, but this article should remain as the one on the genus. Maias (talk) 02:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed! These are two distinct species. ;) --HoopoeBaijiKite 21:14, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- A good idea to have species pages as well as a genus page. Snowman (talk) 18:10, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- OK, having promised myself to do something about this nearly a year ago, I am now working on a species page for P. palpebrata (as Light-mantled Albatross). Then it would be good if someone (possibly me eventually if nobody else does) puts together a page for P. fusca. If the P. fusca page is then titled 'Sooty Albatrosss' I feel that this page should be moved to 'Phoebetria' to avoid confusion. An alternative would be to use the longer possible common names, i.e. Light- and Dark- mantled Sooty Albatrosses. Any comments or objections? Maias (talk) 23:13, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
