Rossetti's Willowwood

[edit]

There are two mentions of Rossetti's sonnet sequence Willowwood, without specifying which Rossetti is intended. I have italicized the name, thinking it more likely the name of a book than of a short work, but cannot find it mentioned in the articles on Christina and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Does someone have the details? J S Ayer (talk) 02:34, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I find that "Willowwood" is a sequence of four sonnets by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, who was mentioned earlier in the article, so I have put the name in quotation marks rather than italics (and have done some other minor buffing). J S Ayer (talk) 00:06, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be useful to place all the images after the Salvation of Mankind (detail) by Phoebe Anna Traquair, 1886 to 1893 into a gallery section using this gallery template linked here. I've been trying to do this myself but have been unable to get the coding right for it to appear correctly in preview. If others agree with this and could make the change, I think it would be beneficial to stop the relatively small Death section from being overly stretched with white space as is currently the case. I may come back and try this again when I have more time but some help would be very much appreciated. Cheers. Helper201 (talk) 20:59, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Helper201, I went ahead and formatted the images and their placement, per MOS:IMAGES - including positioning images within the sections, not just before the section heading. I also reduced the size of the single images using upright=.9. And, there's no need for two images for her gravestone. People just need to click on the image to see the wording.
Regarding adding a gallery, my take is that it would be overkill. There are plenty of images in the article.
What would be nice, is to establish in gallery in commons for the images that you think would be nice to group together. How does that sound? Here's an example for Vincent van Gogh here.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:26, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
CaroleHenson thank you for your input and your changes. I'm afraid I wouldn't know how to do that. I'm not proposing to add any more images. I think the changes you made make the page look much better than it did previously. Cheers. Helper201 (talk) 23:10, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

There were a series of edits made by an IP user - without adding citations. I picked up a spelling change (Traqair --> Traquair) in a citation + kept a sentence with a partial citation re: where they lived in Edinburgh. But perhaps that should be removed.

It appears that "Redcrosse knight" is the correct spelling based upon the article that it is linked to.

Some of the edits would be helpful with a source, they provide more specific info. Got source(s)?–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:07, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
