First nation in the tropics?
[edit]Currently the intro includes:
The Philippines is the first nation in the tropics to ever participate in the Winter Olympic Games.
The Philippines first participated in the 1972 games.
Bolivia competed at the 1956 Winter games. Bolivia lies wholly within the tropics.
Mexico competed at the 1928 Winter games. About half of Mexico exists within the tropics.
Other countries whose territory exists at least partly in the tropics but competed at the Winter games before the Philippines include India, the USA, Australia, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), Chile.

- I believe you can get a more prompt response at Talk:Tropical nations at the Winter Olympics. Tropical nations at the Winter Olympics does say that the Philippines was "The first truly tropical nation to compete", whatever that means. –HTD 14:16, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
Gold medal or no?
[edit]The table lists one gold medal on the row for 1988, yet the total number of medals at the bottom lists zero golds. Which is correct? Critterkeeper (talk) 20:02, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
- Nope. It was vandalism. –HTD 22:26, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
