[edit]

http://www.whitehouse.gov/pfiab/ :

Introduction

The President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (PFIAB) provides advice to the President concerning the quality and adequacy of intelligence collection, of analysis and estimates, of counterintelligence, and of other intelligence activities. The PFIAB, through its Intelligence Oversight Board, also advises the President on the legality of foreign intelligence activities.

The PFIAB currently has 16 members selected from among distinguished citizens outside the government who are qualified on the basis of achievement, experience, independence, and integrity.

The Role of The Board

Unique within the government, the PFIAB traditionally has been tasked with providing the President with an independent source of advice on the effectiveness with which the intelligence community is meeting the nation's intelligence needs and the vigor and insight with which the community plans for the future.

His close connections to Condalezza Rice also be mentioned

VRTS ticket # 2008020610000416. I have blocked Civilities (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) for blatant WP:BLP violation and as a disruptive single purpose account. Guy (Help!) 23:09, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A very measured response from the subject, released with permission from the OTRS queue. Please take note and ensure WP:BLP compliance.

Since I was the director of the 9/11 Commission and have been accused of

various conspiracies (planning the war in Iraq, 9/11 coverups, and so on), this entry is a grossly deformed summary of my background. It's inflamed at the moment by a book blaming me for why the 9/11 Commission didn't slam George Bush harder.

It is also extremely lopsided in coverage of my public activities, since I've also been deeply involved (as a lengthy review of world press would show) in reshaping US policy during the Iraq war, reshaping US policy toward India, designing a comprehensive diplomatic approach for the future of Korea, and various initiatives in the Middle East.

I don't want to get in the business of trying to write my own entry and then get in a tug of war with the many zealots. I'm happy if people who are entirely impartial would just provide an accurate summary, without either trumpeting my accomplishments or listing all the attacks. Folks who want to

read news stories can go do that.

Thanks, Guy (Help!) 13:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The idea that Zelikow is not deeply connected to the perpetrators of 9/11 is absurd. His role on the 9/11 Commission alone is blatant treason. 24.11.186.64 (talk) 00:56, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The idea that he is connected to the perpetrators of 9/11 is blatantly idiotic, WP:CB and a violation of WP:FRINGE. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 00:50, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alas Wikipedia has all the virtues and vices of democracy: there is no quality filter. People edit articles because they care, and more often than not, care too deeply. If Mr. Zelikow wants to publish what he considers a balanced bio feel free, but these articles are always at the mercy of people who are unbalanced.
