European Federalism

[edit]

Lord Lothian was one of the most important members of the Federal Union and his speech "Pacifism is not enough" has been a crucial programmatic text for the early European Federalism. It is a pity that this is not mentioned in the text.--El Duende (talk) 12:14, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you can source it add it. (Unless you already have)--T. Anthony (talk) 10:27, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting sentence

[edit]

"A confirmed bachelor having never been romantically linked with any female (my emphasis)", are we hinting at something here?--T. Anthony (talk) 07:26, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to change it.--T. Anthony (talk) 00:12, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"...without bigotry..."

[edit]

After his passing, Lloyd George said in the Commons: "he was intensely religious but never flaunted it; he was intensely religious without bigotry, without intolerance; and without any of the hatreds that too often are an ardent faith." This is a quotation from his biography by J R M Butler, page 313.
